The initial stage of the path begins with the recognition of space as the true nature of mind. At the second stage, we practice to overcome the dualistic tensions of time and discover the inspiration to liberate others from suffering. In the final stage, devotion to the guru is taught as the means to transform the energy of confusion into the wisdom of the buddhas.
Empowered as the first western lineage holder of the Kagyu and Nyingma traditions in 1976, the Vajra Regent was co-founder of Shambhala Training and from 1987 to 1990 was president of Vajradhatu, an international association of Buddhist meditation centers. He was also the author of Buddha in the Palm of Your Hand.
