As parents, we teach our children to care for their bodies and brush their teeth, but we never really teach them how to maintain their mental and emotional health. Extensive research confirms that just a few minutes of meditation each day calms the mind, body and spirit. When family members have a peaceful place inside themselves, they naturally get along better with each other and those in their world. For both children and adults, everyday obstacles become more workable and our natural harmony is easily regained.
Using firsthand experience with her own family of seven, Kerry Lee MacLean shows how important it is for families to regroup on a daily basis to briefly check in with themselves and each other, bringing a stillness of mind and heart to all they experience throughout the day.
"This is a marvelous little book. It is inspiring and touching and one of the clearest, simplest introductions to meditation that I have ever seen -- for children or adults."
-- Jeremy Hayward, author of Sacred World.
