Is Tibet Forgotten? We Hope Not… is first and foremost an
intimate statement on why Tarthang Tulku, and the organizations he
founded in the US, Europe, and Brazil work for Tibet. From a broader
perspective, it conveys through the account of the Tibetan refugees the
incredible suffering that can result from ignorance, hatred, and
attachment to self-centered, short-sighted views. In their struggles to
rebuild their culture in exile, the refugees have also demonstrated to
the wider world that it is possible to defuse the force of resentment
and blame.
"By finding ways to use difficult circumstances to
strengthen the practice of non-attachment, forgiveness, and compassion,
we can contribute to the transformation of the dark emotions that
dictate human actions."
