Throughout her journey, joie de vivre and whimsy permeated a world in which she delicately balanced the roles of wife, mother and artist. As an older woman she painted with enthusiastic diligence and accomplishment until her capacity to work faded into Alzheimers. Her paintings are vibrant, accomplished and delightful to contemplate. Given that most art is done by artists who remain unrecognized and that most of these unrecognized artists are women, this monograph provides a portrait that expands far beyond Isa Dreier's own life story. 72 pages.
