The Gomden® Meditation Cushion is a firm rectangular meditation cushion inside a removable, washable zippered cover. Also known as the Shambhala meditation cushion (and sometimes as a square meditation cushion) it is used for simple cross-legged sitting meditation in Shambhala Meditation Centers worldwide. 18" by 12.5" and 6" high. We now have Gomden® cushion covers available in two shades of ECO-Twill (recycled poly/organic cotton blend) as well as in 100% Organic Cotton.

Depending on the cushion color, the Zippered cover is 100% Cotton or a Cotton-Poly blend.

For additional height and a comfortable meditation posture consider a support pillow.

Use the Zabuton Mat (from the Japanese Zen tradition) with a Gomden® to provide a cushion for your knees and ankles.

We can sew a custom color for the center of the Gomden® for an additional charge (no extra charge for black with red center or red with yellow center). Please contact us for custom cushions.

Bought mine 10 years ago. Yesterday it made it super-easy to work under the sink replacing a kitchen faucet. Cushion on the floor, my back on the cushion. Just the right height. Still good and firm.

My meditation practice has fallen by the wayside but my cat loves the Gomden too.

It will take me a lifetime to wear out my new cushions, but when I do, I would like to order here again.

Wasn't sure about the sage green color from the photos online, but I love it.

This cushion is perfect for me and beats the 3 throw pillows I was balancing on previously to meditate. It looks built to last and I expect it to give me good support for my practice for years to come.
